What is Mentalism – Part Two
Why Hire a Mentalist for Your Next Corporate or Private Event?
Mentalism is a novel form of entertainment many people are unlikely to have encountered in real life; and currently, thanks to the internet, it is hotter than ever.
As discussed in the previous post, mentalism consists of demonstrations related to the power of the mind. This can include mind reading, mind control, super human memory stunts, and even hypnosis.
My work focuses on the ability to read the signals, tells, and clues that people give off in order to figure out what they are thinking; or employ these same techniques in reverse (after all, if I can read them cannot they read me?) in order to influence them in ways of which they are otherwise unaware. Because of that I prefer the term “mind reader” as that is what I am quite literally doing; I am using my understanding of how people communicate in order to read their thoughts.
I do not consider myself a psychic, though the techniques I employ are very real and have far reaching implications when applied thoughtfully.
So why book a mentalist? Like magic, which is also experiencing incredible popularity, it can be utterly amazing and even inspiring. It is by nature highly interactive and is a perfect experience for groups looking to build rapport among participants or celebrate and deepen their existing relationships as we showcase your guests and their amazing minds. Brad Henderson’s The Mind Show produces laughter, awe, and wonder. What more could you want?
Further, many of the core concepts of mentalism parallel core concepts in other fields, especially in the corporate world. Mentalism often speaks to untapped potential, the power of the mind, and the relationship between one’s thoughts and the realities these thoughts help create in the “real world.”
Also, many mentalism demonstrations hold natural appeal to certain groups. I have yet to see a meeting of salespeople not drool over the possibility of being able to know the thoughts of their potential clients and competitors.

Of course, it wasn’t long before these groups would ask me to teach their sales, management, and HR teams how to do what I do in order to make their work place for effective and efficient. So, I developed a number of talks and seminars where we explore the principles involved and how they can apply to your needs as a sales team, manager, or group of creatives. Each presentation is tailored to your specific goals and challenges and is a great way to convey critical success concepts in a fun, hands on, meaningful and memorable manner. I always find these programs to be highly rewarding, not only for the client but also for myself.
One final benefit to hosting The Mind Show is the technical requirements for the show are minimal. While presentations for larger groups benefit from video projection and amplified sound, the mentalist themself often require little more than a place to stand and a small table for common items to be used during the presentation.
